Little Wonders is currently accepting applications for the following terms:

  • 2008-2009 School Year

Registration for the 2008-2009 School Year has begun! All applications received between April 1-30 will be included in our class lottery. Current and returning families receive priority enrollment in the lottery process. Applications received after April 30th will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply now, you can register online or submit a paper application.

New families are required to visit the school prior to registration. Open house tours are held periodically throughout the year, you can check back here for those dates. Preview tours are held continuously throughout the school year. To sign up to attend an open house or preview tour, send an e-mail with your name, your child's name and date of birth and telephone number to preview@littlewonders.org. You must attend an open house or preview visit before you can submit an online application.

SCHEDULE A VISIT (Required of All New Families)

Registration is held each year in the month of April for the summer and school year that begins that Fall. The only requirement we have prior to registering is that a parent attend a preview session. Our goal is to make sure that parents have seen the program, understand their commitments and have had all of their questions answered. We have found these 1 ½ hour preview sessions achieve that goal. You are welcome to bring your child. We are located within the Congregational Church on the corner of San Mateo Drive and Tilton Ave. There is a parking lot on Catalpa St. right off San Mateo Drive. Please park towards the street side of the parking lot (front spaces reserved for Church occupants) and walk towards the church building and go left (heading west) towards a walkway. You'll see the signs for Little Wonders. Come on in and be ready for fun!!

GENERAL CO-OP REQUIREMENTS

The following is a summary of the requirements for each family enrolled at Little Wonders. After enrollment, please refer to your Little Wonders Handbook for more detailed information.

  • PARTICIPATION AND ATTENDANCE. Little Wonders is a parent co-operative program. Your active participation is necessary for smooth operation of our program and school. Regular attendance of the parent or family member is necessary. Paid caregivers are welcome to attend with you and your child. Paid caregivers may only attend without you three (3) times per semester. If you need to miss a class on a day you are scheduled to supervise a station, it is your responsibility to ensure another parent covers your station. Please remember that your attendance allows you and your child to benefit from the school and helps you ensure the safety of the children.
  • PARENT'S TB CLEARANCE FORM.The parent or family member attending class must have a completed Form F - Parent's TB Clearance Form on file as required by State law. This and all other required forms must be submitted before attending class.
  • ANNUAL JOB. For school year applicants. Each family must select and carry out at minimum one 15 to 25 hour job per year. We recommend that you review the 2008-2009 Little Wonders Job Descriptions prior to completing your on-line or paper application. Jobs have several components, and we hope you will find positions of interest that are a good match to both your personal skills and schedule. Do you want to be an individual contributor or work on a committee? Do you want to work steadily throughout the year or work on one event or task at a specific time of the year? Do you want to work at home during nap time or after bedtime? Can you do work with meetings in the evening or weekend? Do you have any professional skills or personal hobbies that you can contribute to our operations? If you have any questions, please contact our Jobs Chair at jobs@littlewonders.org. Additionally, if you are interested in committing more time to the success of Little Wonders than the required 15 to 25 hours, please contact the Jobs Chair at jobs@littlewonders.org to learn more about available pre-registration jobs. Families assigned to a pre-registration job will receive their first choice class for the Fall.
  • MAINTENANCE. Our school must be thoroughly cleaned each month to ensure the health and safety of our children. Each class is assigned a specific date for one two-hour Saturday school wash. If you are unable to complete this wash on your scheduled day, you may reschedule within 60 days or pay a $100.00 fee.

A confirmation will also be sent to the email address with which you enrolled. If you do not receive these confirmations upon completion of your application, if you experience any difficulty, or if you would like to make changes to an existing application, please contact the Registrar at registrar@littlewonders.org or (650) 348-0736.

REMINDER: Please review and select the jobs you are interested in PRIOR to starting your application. You will be asked to provide these job preferences in order to complete your application.

All new families to Little Wonders are required to participate in a Preview and Information Session or otherwise visit prior to submitting an application. Participation in a past Summer Term satisfies this visit requirement. Returning families are those families who are currently enrolled or who have attended a School Year term in the past. If you have only attended a past Summer Term, you need to apply as a new family.
To use this function, you will need the Email ID and Registration ID in your registration confirmation or other Little Wonders correspondence. If you do not have this information, please contact registrar@littlewonders.org.
