Fall Semester 2008 Calendar

September

Sept. 3-11 MANDATORY orientations for parents only. 6:30-9:00 PM. We will start with a potluck appetizer social to facilitate getting to know one another. Each family is to be represented on appropriate night for orientation, which includes overview of year, teacher goals, as well as meeting your class members. Both parents are welcome, yet only the participating parent is required.

     Sept. 8 Monday AM and Friday AM
     Sept. 9 Tuesday AM and Friday PM
     Sept. 10 Wednesday AM and Tuesday PM

Sept. 6 Monday PM and Thursday PM School Wash, 12-2 PM. Each family must be represented.

Sept. 6 Saturday Class Begins 9:30-11:30 AM

Sept. 15 Weekday Classes Begin 9-11 AM's, 11:30-1:30 PM's and 2:30-4:30 PM2

Sept. 16 Board Meeting, 7 PM @ home of Heidi Schell

October

Oct. 2 Little Wonders “Social” Fundraiser @ Chevy's.

Oct. 3 Thursday PM Pajama Night, 6:00-7:30 PM. All family members invited.

Oct. 4 Tuesday PM School Wash,12-2 PM. Each family must be represented.

Oct. 7 CPR Class held at Little Wonders, 6:45-9:00 PM, $35 per person. Parents must sign up at school.

Oct. 10 Wednesday PM Pajama Night, 6:00-7:30 PM. All family members invited.

Oct.13-18 Pictures taken during classes for placemats.

Oct. 15 MANDATORY All School Meeting, 6:45 parent networking and refreshments in Kloss Hall, 7:30-9:00 PM meeting and guest speaker in Church Sanctuary, 9-9:30 Q&A and/or networking, Kloss Hall. Each family is required to be represented. Guest speaker will be Keely Sikes Rollings and she will be speaking about “Finding the Balance.”

Oct. 17 Monday PM Pajama Night, 6:00-7:30 PM. All family members invited.

Oct. 21 Board Meeting 7 PM @ home of Terese Piazza Fuss

Oct. 25 Halloween Party, Kloss Hall, AM & PM2 classes attend from 9:30-11:00 AM. Saturday & PM classes attend from 11:30-1:00 PM. Costumes (no masks) welcome.

Oct. 28 Optional Parent Education Evening: “The Preschool Decision” presented by Teacher Mireille in Kloss Hall, 7:30-9:30 PM.

November

Nov. 1 Wednesday PM School Wash, 12-2 PM. Each family must be represented.

Nov. 3 Optional Parent Education Evening: Topic TBD, presented by Ronald Mah M.A. in Kloss Hall, 7;30-9:30 PM. Mr. Mah is a therapist, educator and author, and is sure to make the evening worthwhile with his wisdom and wit.

Nov. 5 Family Connections event “An Evening With Children's Authors”, 6-9 PM, Hiller Aviation Museum.

Nov. 7 Fri. PM Pajama Night 6:00-7:30 PM. All family members invited.

Nov. 11 Optional Parent Education Evening: “Childhood Illnesses and Concerns” presented by Little Wonders parent and Internist Flora Chen at Little Wonders, 7:30-9:30 PM

Nov. 14 Tuesday PM Pajama Night, 6:00-7:30 PM. All family members invited.

Nov. 18 Board Meeting, 7 PM @ home of Stacey Klausner

Nov. 19 San Mateo Council presents the “Family Consultant Service Night”, time TBA, at United Methodist Coop Nursery School, 1443 Howard Ave. Burl. Attend one or more sessions given by the professionals who provide services.

Nov. 22-28 Little Wonders closed for Thanksgiving Holiday.

December

Dec. 4 CPR Class held at Little Wonders, 6:45-9:00, $35 per person, Parents must sign up at school.

Dec. 5 Saturday Class Pajama Night, 6:00-7:30 PM. All family members invited.

Dec. 6 Friday PM School Wash, 12-2 PM. Each family must be represented.

Dec. 10 Talbot's Night, 7-9 PM, shopping and snacks. Parents only!

Dec. 22-Jan. 4 Little Wonders closed for Holiday Break. Happy Holidays!

January 2009

Jan 5-9 Weekday classes resume.

Jan. 10 Saturday Class resumes

Jan. 10 Tuesday AM School Wash, 12-2 PM. Each family must be represented.

Jan. 20 Board Meeting 7 PM @ the home of Bryn Hartley
